Allen Poe

In Edgar Allen Poes story Fall of house of usher he uses incest, fear, goth, isolationism, and mortality.. Why would anyone use these contents to write a short story or any story at all, because it captivates the reader. Literally blows their minds.. We can never tell what is truthfully happening or what will happen in the end or in the story because it has so many types of ways to be told.. I personally would use these 5 themes because they are the one that caught my eye the most. Incest, like "woah!" A mind blowing theme to use because not many people are incestuous especially when it's in a haunted house. That's always adds some excitement... Fear.. Fear always gets someone's heart going. It's a theme that no one could be disappointed with, when it's in a scary or creepy story like the house of usher this was exciting to have. Gothic themes in a haunting story can only add suspicion to the plot. If I were to write. A story like Mr. Poes I would use goth because not many people use goth, and if they do they don't capture the story being told very well. Mortality, I would use, I love me a good vampire in my story and Edgar all Poe captured a mystical one. The way Madeline May have actually risen back even though everyone thought she was dead. Nobody could've known she even was back she could've haunted them. It would make into a great short story. Finally using isolation as a them!!! Spectacular idea!!! Have them cut off basically from the rest of the world where they lived in a house that was haunted itself and then all the haunting come after them. Any great story with a good isolation theme will get a view. If they are able to portray their ideas well enough the reader will get soo hooked! These 5 themes are all themes I would use if I were to write myself a great short story because they are all great themes if used in the right way. Explained correctly and unified as one they would explode with excitement from someone.
